1970s Emanuel Ungaro cotton shirtdress. The dress features distorted horizontal stripes in shades of blue, orange and grey. Bishop sleeves and a thin pussy bow tie at the neck. Fitted at the waist, the skirt has inverted box pleats. A beautiful fall colour palette. The colours and print are very mid century modern. Would be stunning worn with flats, heels or leather boots. Good vintage condition - there are some small signs of wear throughout that have been expertly restored and rewoven to match the ombre of the fabric . Marked size 8. Fits like a U.S. size 2. An almost identical piece from this collection in beige, black and orange was purchased by the Metropolitan Museum in NYC for their permanent collection.
